internet explorer 8 freeze up

I have vista home preium, I just did a upgrade for internet explorer8 yesterday. I thought I liked it but is is frozen. I like opens more than one page and none of them work. I have to go to task manager to close and then when I try again, it freezes. I went in under my sons name and his worked for a few pages and then the same thing happened. Is this a problem with 8? are there any fixes?

Im not sure what you mean. did you have another version of IE, and you changed it?

I would go into event viewer by typing that in search and look at windows log, applications. See if there are errors (red "X" in left corner) relating to the IE problem. If there are can you tell us the event ID and source code?

You're not a dummy, I should have explained better. to go into event viewer
go to start>search>type event viewer>go to winodws logs>applications

look for errors (red "X" in left column) and see which are the most frequent and ones that are relevant to the problem. let us know the event ID and source code
