Problem attaching pics to WINDOWS Mail email

Never had any problem attaching photos when using XP and Outlook Express. Now even though I follow the instructions (either from Picture Gallery or from the Pictures Directory, it sends the pictures to OUTLOOK which altho on my computer, I do not use. I had already set WINDOWS MAIL as my default, and even went in to the Control Panel to set associations and changed the protocal of MAILTO from OUTLOOK to WINDOWSMARK. [I am using Vista Home Premium 32 and Windows Mail, and Internet Explorer 8.]

hi , bobm1954 here ,had the same prob.i thought why do they have to screw something that worked well, here`s what i do now.

1. open the photo gallery
2. to select more than one pic, use ctrl button bottom left , you knew that already .
3.then clk. any where on the screen , this then brings up a drop down box
4. select send to - this then opens up your mail program
5. select mail recipient
6.finish e-mail as normal

it took me about 2 hours of goofing around to come up with this but it works
