Secure sites only?

Is there any reason why IE 7 will only display secure https sites suddenly? I thought it was all web sites until I just happened to try a secure one today.

Its part of general problem in which a piece of software which connects to the internet automatically doesn't connect to get the data anymore. Mozilla Firefox browses just fine, Outlook gets my e-mail.

Yesterday I was having problems getting my DSL connection to work so I reset the router/modem several times and also tried connecting via Bluetooth to my cell phone. I don't know why this would have changed anything.

Any ideas?

open a command prompt and type netsh winsock reset and hit return see if it helps

and make sure your security isnt set too high in internet options/security set it to medium high.
