Error on iExplorer Default Setup for Vistax64

I just got my new computer with Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit. It came with two default variations of internet explorer, a regular one ("C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe") and an Internet Explorer (64-bit). They both worked perfectly until this morning when I started having some trouble connecting to my wireless network. While trying to reestablish my connection I proceeded to accept some suggestions from the OS to fix the problem.
Now my Regular Internet Explorer doesn't work (the x86), only the 64-bit one is working properly. As you know I can't enjoy youtube or use any links with flashplayer or even use messenger. I'd like to reestablish the regular internet explorer.... any comments on why I have this problem? Any suggestions on how to fix it?
I can't detail exactly what I did to reestablish my connection but I remember I deleted some program which the OS suggested I delete (it did warn me that I might have some problems) That’s as far as I can remember.

can you do a system restore?

Thanks for your reply Kword88, I've tried restoring my system but the error persists. I'm guessing i'll just have the reinstall my whole system from the CDs that come with the computer. Would that help?
