My problem does not seem to be answered before. I just set up my new laptop and Windows Live. I entered the information right from Outlook express and Wnndows live mail does not work. My incomming is pop.charter.net and my poutgoing is smtp.charter.net. I get 0x800CCC0E error. Charter is no help. I have Trend antivirus installed but the mail check is turned off. Any suggestions? Here is a link to a few error codes for Windows Mail if you look down the list you will find your code and it states cannot connect to server. Windows Mail and Windows Live Mail error codes
Which is either a server entry wrong on your end, username/password incorrectly entered or your internet connection is having an issue at that time. Double check your internet connectivity and all your settings in your email program.
