Multiple addresses in Microsoft Mail

In Windows XP, the Microsoft mail program would allow more that one e-mail address for a person. When you sent a e-mail, all the addresses would show before you sent the e-mail. In Vista, Microsoft Mail will allow you more than one address per person, but when I put the name in the "TO Box", only one address for that person shows up. In XP I could pick the address just before the e-mail was sent, but I can't seem to find a was to do it in Vista.

I'm not really clear what you mean here but let me see if I can get it right.

When you start to put the name of the person you want to send an email to into the To: line a box comes up with suggestions for you to pick, if I have that right it will only work if you have contacts in your address book that it is showing you.

Just another thought is do you have auto complete set, sorry but without going to look at the moment I'm not certain exactly where this is set possibly Internet Explorer options.

If you can post back and say if I'm anywhere near to what it is you want we can go from there

As you stated, when I start to put in the send to name, some suggestons do come up, but not all of them. I have two addresses for my daughter in my address book, but only one comes up. I then deleted one of the addresses, and put a second address in the same record, saying one was preferred. Still, when I put her name in the in the send to name, only the preferred name would show. I think I have auto complete on, because addresses do pop up when I start to key in the name.

Hello Jetalbot, and welcome to Vista Forums.

The autocomplete feature in Windows Mail is a bit buggy. You will need to use the email address first, then it should appear in autocomplete.

However, you can also click on the TO button and manually select the address from your contacts as well.
