add-ons crashing ultimate64?

Hey all,

I've been having freezing/crashing issues while running Company of Heroes, as well as FarCry2. My system specs are easily able to handle both games, and I can't for the life of me figure out why my games are crashing. :mad:

Could it be internet add ons? Such as the addons that come with internet explorer? I normally use Firefox, which seems to be addon-free, but I just found a TON of addons in internet explorer. (Curiously, I have three versions of IE: IE [tons of addons], IE7 [no addons that I found] and IE: No Add Ons [as the app says, it has no addons])

EDIT: I just found about 4 'plug-ins' in firefox...they seem important for day to day tasks (adobe, itunes, quicktime, etc) ...should I disable them?

I honestly have no idea if these addons are the problem, how many (if any) of them I need, what they are in the first place, or if I'm totally off. Help a noob out!!! :cry:
