Windows mail accounts

Hello!
I have Vista home premiun. Does anyone know if I can have an administrator and user account with the the same e-mail address?(using windows mail)

Yes, you can create multiple user accounts and then go on to configure Windows Mail in each account to use the same e-mail address.

Hello WWard34, and welcome to Vista Forums.

Yes, you can, but you should set the email account to have "Leave a copy of the message on the server." checked in Tools, Accounts, select account, Properties, Advance tab. This way both user accounts in Vista will receive copies of the same email.

However, it would be best to have each user with their own email account address.

Thanks Shawn, I forgot to mention that. You should have the same option checked in each account so that it wouldn't matter which user account you use. The following image shows the settings that I use:

If the 3rd option is checked, as shown here, then when the Deleted Items folder is emptied, those e-mails can no longer be retrieved from other user accounts. Uncheck that option if you wish to delete an e-mail on some, but not all, user accounts. In this case, if you wish to delete the e-mail from all user accounts you will have to do so separately in each user account. You can also do this via the web-based interface for your e-mail account. Please note that an e-mail deleted in this way CANNOT be retrieved.
