cant read my mail!

Both outlook 2007 and WLMD arent loading properly. With Outlook it just sits at the splash screen and with WLMD it loads but just sits there with a busy cursor so I cannot use it.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Outlook works in safe mode so wonder if its some addon?

Unless there's some specific reason that you NEED to use Outlook for your email, I suggest trying Mozilla Thunderbird:

Sometimes your mail clients aren't able to retrieve your email from your ISPs server. Check to see if you can access it via the Web interface. It is possible that you might have a conflict between the clients. An unresponsive add-on can also cause problems - check by disabling it. Another possibility is that your profile has become corrupt, in which case you need to create a fresh account. You might need to check your firewall and other security settings to make sure that these clients are able to access the internet. I use the standard Windows Mail and most of the time it works, but occaisionally I have to use the Web interface instead. It is in cases like this that the advantage of being able to access email over a Web interface comes into its own. It also means that you are also able to access your email from another PC, e.g. at your local library or Internet Cafe.

Thanks guys for the pointers Ill investigate further and report back.

Think I found the culprit. I turned windows desktop search off as it was using 40% cpu resources and since then I can now get back into outlook.
